There’s always something good on at The Arts Theatre

Built and owned by The Adelaide Repertory Theatre Company in 1963, the Arts Theatre is host to the Adelaide Rep’s shows as well as several of Adelaide’s major amateur theatre companies. It is also a major venue of the Adelaide Fringe each year for world renowned stand up comedians and entertainers.

Hosting around fourteen shows a year, the theatre has served not only the members of the Repertory Theatre, but also other theatre groups and the community at large, with a jam packed variety of shows throughout the year. Please check the what’s on page for shows and bookings information

Temporary Closure Of Theatre Due To COVID-19

It is with much disappointment that we inform our many loyal supporters of the decision to close the ARTS Theatre for 3 months. This decision was made by the Board for the protection of our cast, crew, volunteers and of course you, our valued audience.

This unfortunately means the cancellation or (hopefully) postponement of:

  • Twentieth Century (Therry Dramatic Society)
  • The Lion King Jr (Pelican Productions)
  • Crimes Of The Heart (Adelaide Rep)
  • Legally Blonde (Metropolitan Musical Theatre)
  • Titanic The Musical (Therry Dramatic Society)
  • We’ll Always Have Paris (Adelaide Rep)

We trust you will be understanding and patient with us during this very trying and difficult time.
