The play begins in the modest apartment of a lonely musical theatre fan known only as Man in Chair. As he drops the needle on his favourite cast album, a glamorous 1920s musical bursts into life around him.
With a pampered bride, a dashing groom, gangsters, mistaken identities and the delightfully inappropriate Drowsy Chaperone, this loving parody of golden-age musicals is both affectionate and riotously funny.
